The AI Revolution: Protecting Our Kids in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) holds both risks and potential upsides for children. On the one hand, AI technologies can provide valuable educational tools, problem-solving skills, and personalized learning experiences. It can also assist in the development of critical thinking and digital literacy. However, AI also poses risks such as privacy concerns, potential exposure to harmful content or misinformation, and the possible substitution of human interaction. Ensuring proper safeguards, parental guidance, and age-appropriate usage are essential in maximizing the benefits while minimizing the risks of AI for children.
Bored? I would be too -- the introductory paragraph was written by Treated AI's base chatbot. While AI is informative and a great resource, use of the chatbot doesn't foster skills such as creativity, orginality, and individuality in one's work (in this case, their writing). In our schools and unviersities today, this type of argument-lacking, fluff-driven, bafflegab-esque rhetoric is all too common, and its taking a toll: Your kids are becoming engulfed by AI and the technology their world is consumed by.
AI is no doubt a significant innovation and a tool that can and should be harnessed by kids for learning, curiosity, and gaining tutoring and feedback for growth in academic or extracurricular areas. On the other hand, the pervasive nature of AI into our everyday lives has produced overexposure, especially for kids constantly on screens and devices. Children leaning too heavily on this technology can stifle their critical thinking development and key skills for later in life that nurtured through a standard youth and education. Furthermore, much like the internet as a whole, AI can be unpredictable and unsafe, producing innapropriate or over-the-line responses not suitable for young minds.
Therein lies the question: to what degree should AI exposure be permissable for young minds and how can parents monitor their kids behavior?
The answer? A comprehensive, chatbot-equipped system that also allows parents to monitor and regulate their child's use of AI: Treated AI.
We offer:
Safe, additonally refined LLM based Chatbot with text and image generation
Parental dashboard for child AI query regulation
Academic subject tutoring for kids
Treated AI is the AI system parents trust and kids love: the perfect balance between AI regulation/safety and an important and useful tool for children.
